Leaders in the arts, government and business filled the Rainbow Room Wednesday night to celebrate Shelley and Donald Rubin, founders of the Rubin Museum and filmmaker Albert Maysles for their cultural leadership in this city. Tributes included a special performance by Tony award-winning actress Christine Ebersole and Scott Frankel, who performed music from "Grey Gardens," based on the Maysles brothers' film. The event supports the Alliance’s efforts to serve the public and every arts group in the city through research, advocacy and the publication of cultural guides and calendars—promoting cultural tourism and building new audiences for the arts.
