The RSC In NYC: 41 Actors, Five Plays, Six Weeks

NPR

The Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) is presenting five plays in repertory over six weeks during New York's Lincoln Center Festival in an exact replica of its Stratford-Upon-Avon permanent home stage. Forty-one actors have come to perform at the intimate 975-seat Elizabethan style theater, constructed within the cavernous Park Avenue Armory Drill Hall space. The RSC is a true repertory company, meaning New Yorkers will see the same actors play many parts in the five scheduled plays: As You Like It, Romeo and Juliet, Julius Caesar, The Winter's Tale and King Lear.
