Forum for the New York Arts Community

More than 600 members of the cultural community gathered at a meeting organized by A.R.T./NY and the Department of Cultural Affairs last Thursday, October 30. Commissioner Kate D. Levin, Executive Director of A.R.T./NY Ginny Louloudes and Diane Ragsdale, Associate Program Officer at Andrew W. Mellon Foundation each spoke, focusing on audience-building opportunities and the challenges presented by the current economic crisis.

A.R.T./NY plans to post all of these talks on its Web site at www.art-newyork.org and also to publish a white paper summarizing the proceedings.
