ALLIANCE JOINS TWO TEAMS TO STUDY ARTS INDUSTRY
The New York City Economic Development Corporation selected a team including the Alliance and Lord Cultural Resources and led by the consulting firm HR&A to recommend steps to bolster the economy using nonprofit cultural organizations. The team will analyze the economic impact of the arts on the city, conduct outreach to New York’s arts leaders and develop a strategic investment plan for the nonprofit cultural industry.

The Alliance for the Arts will also participate in a new research project on the impact of the arts in New York State. The Alfred P. Sloan Foundation has awarded a planning grant to Cornell University’s ILR School to study the challenges and opportunities facing the arts and entertainment industry in the state.
