For a Harlem Theater, Hope Amid the Hurdles

Dedicated to bringing the classics to a changing Harlem and nurturing new, diverse audiences, Classical Theatre of Harlem is presenting its first full-scale production in nearly two years - Shakespeare's Henry V -- staring the theater's producing director and board chairman, Ty Jones. Free performances in the amphitheater at Mount Morris Park/Marcus Garvey Park precede the plays formal run at the Malcolm X and Dr. Betty Shabazz Memorial & Education Center, where it will be performed through September 4th. The play will also be performed in East River Park on the Lower East Side, August 27 through 29.
