Columbia University Volunteers Seek Service Projects for April 2

Columbia Community Outreach (CCO) is seeking hands-on, team-based service projects that are suitable for groups of 15 or more people, but that do not involve mailing, fundraising or secretarial work; past projects have included volunteering with children and park cleaning. CCO's two goals are to increase campus knowledge of opportunities for long-term service and to form mutually beneficial relationships with the Harlem, Morningside Heights and greater New York communities. The CCO Volunteer day is Saturday, April 2, 2011. If you are interested in hosting a project, please register online at the COO Web site. For more information, contact Maryann Vlahos at mv2329@columbia.edu or see www.columbia.edu/cu/outreach/.
