In a move that could prove a boon for lovers and distributors of art house films, the Film Society of Lincoln Center has announced its most significant undertaking in years, a new film center scheduled to open on June 17 on the south side of 65th Street. The first new art film destination above 14th street in decades, the center will include two new intimate theaters, an indoor café, and an auditorium for lectures and other educational programs.
