CORRECTION

An item that appeared in the Alliance's August newsletter on August 9 misstated the status of merger discussions between Snug Harbor Cultural Center and the Staten Island Botanical Garden. A merger has not occurred, however the boards of Snug Harbor and the Staten Island Botanical Garden met separately on July 14, 2005 and each voted on a resolution to further explore the feasibility of a merger, pending all legal and state approvals.
