City Council Hearing on DCA and Libraries Budgets

The Preliminary Budget and Financial Plan, announced on February 17, 2011 by Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg, asks all City agencies to reduce Fiscal Year 2011 budgets by 5.4 percent, bringing the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs' budget to $141.2 million in the year ending June 30, 2011. The agency projects an additional reduction of 8 percent for Fiscal Year 2012, bringing the baseline budget to $100.7 million. This excludes potential one-time council member allocations and other restorative dollars that may be added by July 1, 2011. For the Office of Management and Budget projections, click here.
