The audience for nonprofit culture activity in New York City is more than three times that for either Broadway or sports events. A study to be released by the Alliance next week shows total attendance at 25.6 million for 2004. These findings come from NYC ARTS AUDIENCES: Attendance at NYC Cultural Venues, the first Alliance survey of cultural organizations, based on responses from 138 groups across the city. The attendance survey will be repeated on an annual basis with quarterly reports based on a smaller sample.
