Damon Campagna became the new director of the New York City Fire Museum in November 2010; he has worked with the museum since 2008 in the roles of project manager, collection manager and curator. Prior to that he was executive director of the Warwick Museum of Art in Rhode Island.

L. Buddy Gwin has been named the new executive director for the American Indian Community House (AICH) in the New York City office, effective December 2010.

Carl Goodman has been named director designate of the Museum of the Moving Image. Formerly the museum's senior deputy director, he succeeds founding director Rochelle Slovin, who after 30 years will retire at the end of February 2011.

Khalil Gibran Muhammad, a history professor at Indiana University, has been named the new director of the New York Public Library--Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture, to begin in July 2011. Dr. Muhammad succeeds Howard Dodson Jr., who led the research center for over 25 years.
