Survey Results: The Recession & the Arts II

Early signs of a recovery in the nonprofit arts industry are emerging, although many organizations remain vulnerable and the sector remains under great pressure, according to the Alliance for the Arts' annual survey, The Recession & the Arts II: The Impact of the Economic Downturn on Nonprofit Cultural Organizations in New York City. The report, released May 27, measures reductions that have been made in the past year to operating budgets, employment, public programs and plans for construction projects.
